so it's been awhile for sure so this one is going to be a long one, hopefully the pictures will keep you reading.
if you didn't already know, my sweet grammy's surgery went well. she had a hard time with rehab but that's all done now and she's standing up straight and moving around better than she has in years. it's a great sight to see.
this fourth of july weekend, my sister and i went to colorado to visit the cousins and get some real shopping done. you can't go visit my aunt and cousin without spending a little bit of money. they are the best personal shoppers ever. anyway, so justin, heidi and the boys just moved into a new house back in colorado (the spent a year in california for justin's job). their new house is gorgeous and i love it. it's right by a big lake and really close to my aunt's house. heidi threw a big party as a house warming/fourth of july party. we had tons of food and water balloons for the boys and a bounce house. it was so fun to watch the boys jump around.

one of deacon's favorite things to do is break dance. here he is doing a head spin.
when we go to colordao we tend to eat sleep and shop. one day on one of our shopping adventures, we needed to eat to re-energize and decided on sushi. how many kids, 3 year olds, do you know that like sushi? every time brody took a bite he'd announce "man verses food baby!"
on one of our last days there, we decide to go to the lake and take the boys fishing. we had so much fun... minus the nasty smell coming the dead animal in the bushes that we couldn't find until we were leaving. here are some pics from the fishing trip.
when we got back from colorado, i had a busy july ahead of me still. july 10th i ran my first race. it was a 5k in farmington, eric and carly ran too. 3.1 miles in 36 minutes. not the best but it was my first race. i ran 10 miles yesterday so the training must be helping. haha.
that same day after the race me, wade, chris, dani, eric, carly, and tj headed up to jordanelle resivoir and swam a little and camped there for the night. it was a blast. tj, chris and dani had to come up a little later and missed out on the swimming but wade, eric, carly and i still had a lot of fun in the very cold water. wade found a big rock and decided to throw it. eric found a log and was trying to use it as a flotation device but it kept spinning, sinking, or floating away. i wish i had a picture but missed my chance, it was so funny.

mid-july i was sent to cali and ohio again for work. both places are so much fun. i was able to see martha in ca, and meet her mitchell and in ohio i got to stay with jed, kera, and dalton again. i sure do miss that little family. i wish i had some pics from both of those trips but they are all on my phone and really it's more work than it's worth to get them on here. if you really want them comment and i promise to post them.
swe is still a very important part of my life. i am now a member of the professional section in salt lake. i was really worried about what my swe role would be as i graduated and transitioned, but now i have more roles than i would have thought. i am the greater salt lake section rep, the region communications committee chair and i was a senator trainer at the collegiate leadership forum (clf).
this was my third clf and i loved it. this year the forum was held in san fransico. i had never been before and i had a blast. here is a pic of the trainers, no we did not dress alike on purpose. haha.
we put a lot of hard work into this year's clf and i hope the trainees got as much out of it as we did.
this year our saturday night activity was a cruise around the bay. it was a great way to see the sites of san fran. here are some pics from the pier and our exciting and freezing cold boat ride.
and that puts us into september. i know i'm skiping a lot but i only have pics for the best stuff. haha. the first week in september lindsey and i wanted to go to vegas really bad... but we never made it, so we decided that we wanted to still have an exciting jam packed weekend. saturday we went shopping and got pedi's then on sunday we went to the alpine slide in park city. my little sister and wade decided to join us. we had a great time. check it out...
during the second week of september me, marie (from work), tj, and rachel and random group of 8 other great people met up in cedar city and ran the redrock. the redrock relay is a 186 mile race from cedar city to zion canyon. each runner runs 3 legs totally from 10-16 miles each. i had so much fun. it was hard, and i was sore and tired but i'd do it again in a heartbeat. our team was so much fun and we had a blast. i'm trainning for a half marathon, which i'm going to run in 2 weeks. this definately helped me feel better about that race. here are some pictures from our crazy adventure.

and the last few pictures on my camera come from what i like to call "wedding week". this past week i have had 2 friends/couples get engaged and chris and dani's wedding.
these pics are from the carpenter wedding. it was a great time. the wedding was fun, the bride was beautiful, the food was yummy, and the after party was a blast.
